Should you worry that Origen was eventually declared a heretic?
As I understand it, (as reported by the Catholic Encyclopedia at
http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/11306b.htm)he was misunderstood and erroneously reported. Later followers, who may or may not have correctly read his writings, went directions that he may or may not have meant for them to go. In fact, there's serious question if he was anathemized or not.
So, in essence, there was a point when his works were suggested to be inappropriate and he was declared intolerant & perhaps embarassing...
I suppose I can relate to him a little bit.
